The Donnemara is a signature Donegal Carpets design produced in many colourways over the years. Originals have commanded high prices at auction over the past decade as interest for antique Donegal Carpets continues to grow. Like all C.F.A Voysey's designs, nature is a point of inspiration, in this instance roses and tulips; both botanical accuracy is not as important as the creation of pattern, rhythm and overall composition. The Donnemara, along with the Wykehamist and Magnolia, shows Voysey's interest in contrasting the scale of the border elements with those of the field, creating a wonderful sense of dynamism in the overall design.

The GuildCraft Collection features seven Arts & Crafts designs originally created by English architect C.F.A. Voysey circa 1900. The designs are rendered in authentic period colours, which coordinate beautifully with original and reproduction fabrics, upholstery, and wallcoverings. Hand-knotted in India of pure New Zealand wool, the GuildCraft carpets possess a uniform colour and surface texture. The look is authentic to the period, and people rave about the soft hand and plush quality of these fine carpets.
